Welcome to the Southern California Regional Data Center

SCCWRP is committed to providing useful standardized data to its member agencies and the public. The Surface Water Ambient Monitoring Project (SWAMP) is perhaps one of the largest ambient monitoring data repositories in the State of California.  Traditionally, the SWAMP database has been centralized; however, the SWAMP database is growing at exponential rates and the old centralized system is not keeping up with the demands of data users.  The State is attempting to overcome these challenges through the use of the California Environmental Data Exchange Network (CEDEN). CEDEN is a statewide collaborative network of federal, state, county, and private organizations interested in the exchange and sharing of water quality and other environmental data.  To facilitate participation by a growing number of agencies, CEDEN is fed data through a system of distributed databases.  SCCWRP will serve as the Southern California Regional Data Center.
